A clear, structured pathway from aspiring aviator to airline captain — every step guided by our experienced team.
Medical Examination
Obtain a KCAA Class 1 Medical Certificate from an approved Aviation Medical Examiner (AME). This is a prerequisite for all professional pilot training and must be renewed annually.
Student Pilot Licence (SPL)
Obtain your SPL, which authorises you to fly solo under instructor supervision. Requires passing a basic air law exam and demonstrating basic aircraft handling skills.
Private Pilot Licence (PPL)
Complete 60 flight hours including solo cross-country flights, pass 9 KCAA written examinations, and pass a skills test with a KCAA examiner. Duration: 3–4 months.
Instrument Rating (IR)
Train to fly in instrument meteorological conditions (IMC) using only aircraft instruments. Essential for commercial operations and a prerequisite for the CPL. Requires 50 hours of instrument flight time.
Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL)
Build to 250 total flight hours, complete advanced training in multi-engine aircraft, pass CPL written exams, and pass a CPL skills test. This licence allows you to fly for hire or reward.
Multi-Crew Cooperation (MCC)
Complete MCC training in a full-motion simulator, learning to operate as part of a two-pilot crew. This is a mandatory requirement before joining an airline as a First Officer.
Type Rating & First Officer Role
Complete a type rating on your airline's aircraft type and join as a First Officer. Build experience on the line, accumulating the 1,500 hours required for the ATPL.
Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL)
With 1,500 total flight hours and 500 hours multi-pilot, pass the ATPL written exams and skills test to obtain the highest pilot certification — qualifying you for command of commercial aircraft.
